Profile of Donavan
I am a trained Journeyman Finish Carpenter with over 35 years of experience working in the Construction Industry in Jamaica, Canada and the United States. I started out in furniture manufacturing, building furniture for hotels, banks, law firms and government offices as well as customer design furniture. In my early career, I worked as a Production Supervisor where I was in charge of a team of 28 employees, where I increased production from $5 million per year to $9.5 million in 3 years. During my time working as Production Supervisor, I have worked with Architects and Interior Designers to design, build and install furniture for internal spaces in hotels, office buildings, and commercial building. I later resigned my job in Jamaica and started my own small Carpentry Services business offering carpentry services to both residential and small commercial customers. Services included were custom made cabinets, build and install custom millwork and office improvement. I worked with Architect and Interior Designers complete office improvement projects.
I migrated to Canada in 2010 where I worked for a number of Construction companies. I started out as General Commercial Carpenter where I gained extensive experience in erecting commercial buildings from the ground to completion. I later worked as a Journeyman Finish Carpenter where I gained extensive experience in every area of finish carpentry including new home finishing, commercial finishing, millwork finishing, basement upgrades, basement development, remodeling of older houses. design, built and installation of new decks, new fences, repairs and repainting of existing fences.
I later migrated to the United States where I have worked as a Finish Carpenter am currently residing in the Bellevue area. Having worked as a General Journeyman Carpenter as well as a Journeyman Finish Carpenter, I especially love working as a Finish Carpenter.
I have great expertise in listening to clients, understanding their needs and satisfying customers expectations.
